Two achy bodies, four scratched arms, and one hungry Jaclyn later..we ended our first day of our internship. This could take a while, so we’ll try to keep it short for your sake. Woke up at a grueling 5:28 in the am (Jaclyn) and 6:12 (Danielle). We dressed, and prepared ourselves two pequito cups of complimentary hotel coffees (slightly burnt to the taste with curdling creamer resting on the top).
*With her undeniable charm, Jaclyn coerced our favorite woman, Nuvi to blush as she turned her on. Nuvi is the apple of our eye; we can't say we'd be nowhere without her, but we certainly wouldn't know where we were. Start the engine, turn left, and Away we GO!
*Twelve minutes later (and twelve minutes late) we arrived at the infamous Ashley Home to finally meet Laurie along with the entire production crew including hair and makeup stylists, wardrobe, lighting crew, props manager, set supervisor, “the talents”, a black and white stray cat (who was quite frisky I might add), the producer and the production manager.
*Jessie, the wardrobe stylist, was preparing the children’s clothing line with her nifty steamer. A pleasant talk we had with her.
*The alarming sound of Jaclyn’s stomach growling warned us that if she didn’t eat soon, Danielle inevitably would get blamed for it’s emptiness. We made our way to the patio where large and in-charge tables flourished with fluffy 3-inch-diameter pancakes, syrup, bacon strips, more hot steaming coffee, granola bars, yogurts, fruit, muffins, etc. In a nutshell, it was every diner-goers' breakfast dream.
*Toby, one of the head production crewmen enlightened we, Jaclyn and Danielle, with a fascinating rundown of what the Osh Kosh shoot would entail. Hats off to Toby for being an excellent mentor.
*Two of the many intern runs that we felt obliged to overachieve at: 1.) Get Emergen-C for the entire production crew, and 2.) Retrieve 27 pounds of ice and a fresh load of water bottles. Note: Jaclyn carried the 27 pounds of ice whilst Danielle carried all that her flourishing muscles could manage...the 82lb case of water bottles. ("Bravo, Daniela!"- Nuvi)
*Vanessa, Valerie, uhhh Veronica? Wait no, her name was Victoria and in fact it was she who imposed illegal child labor onto the two of we.
*An elderly woman accused Jaclyn of being the mother to one of the child “talents” as was stated: random woman: “Are you a mom?” Jaclyn: “No, I’m an intern.” Random woman: “Oh, your cute!”
*Just call us “The Famous Interns”, or should we say "Blondie and Brownie" or perhaps "Samantha and Nicole" as we were referred to by our superiors.
D: “Get a good picture of Eli from this angle”
J: “Why?” While looking at Eli who is viciously raking
D: “Just look at him!” (starting to get mad that Jaclyn’s not obeying one of her many demands)
J: “That’s NOT Eli!”
D: “Oh, right, that’s Jessie.”
J: “Noo, Jessie is in the gray shirt.”
D: “Oh…”
*Correct name of guy whom Danielle wanted to snap a candid photo- Paulie (He was a sexy, older/heavily-bearded man with the stature of a young Robert Dinero (give or take 20 lbs) in Danielle's eyes.

“Under that hat, he’s got some bitchen’ hair.” - Jody (stage supervisor) in reference to her son, Max. "How creepy," one would initially think, (as did we) until later discovering that he has actually starred in many a movie/TV series. We met him prior to this odd comment that was said after he departed the premise and before we knew he was on some level of 'fame', but we will open that can of worms a bit later... it is very intriguing, therefore you shall do yourself a favor and consider keeping your eyes peeled for the next post.
