After purchasing our Alcatraz tour tickets online, we hopped on our trusty J-line cable car and to Fisherman's Wharf we went! Once we arrived at pier 35, we realized we might just have enough time to let the fellas check out the sea lions on pier 39, so that we did. We each purchased lunch at the corn dog stand (anxiety running high as the cartwoman decided to take her good ol' time) and time flew by. The unpleasant double-task of attempting to enjoy a corn dog while galloping towards pier 33 almost killed Danielle [however Jaclyn's cardiac health is in better condition]. Our ferry awaited us, just as we anticipated.
We then set said across the bay towards "the Rock" and explored the island.
Four legit Alcatraz officers and prisoners guided us through our audio tour of each cell block by way of cassette tape and headphones for individual use. It was quite silent in the prison, as everyone listened with intent to their audio tourguides.
